Zara sigue reinventando su retail y reabre en Stratford con un híbrido online-offline
La cadena estrella de Inditex ha vuelto a poner en marcha su flagship store de Londres en el que ha incorporado una sección específica online y dos puntos de recogida automatizada de pedidos.
Zara da otro giro al retail. La cadena estrella del grupo Inditex ha reabierto su flagship store en el barrio londinense de Stratford. El nuevo establecimiento es el primer en contar con una sección específica para el online y con tecnología para transformar la experiencia del consumidor en tienda.
Una de estas herramientas que incorpora la tienda son dos puntos de recogida automatizada de pedidos, como los que ya incorporó en el punto de venta de A Coruña. Los de Stratford pueden manejar hasta 2.400 pedidos de manera simultánea. Los pedidos online están disponibles en la tienda el mismo día si se realizan antes de las 14 horas o al día siguiente si se hacen durante la tarde.
El personal de la tienda también estará equipado con tabletas para asesorar a los clientes en las compras y podrán tramitar sus pagos desde estos dispositivos. Los clientes también podrán pagar usando sus teléfonos móviles a través de la app de Zara o la aplicación InWallet, propia de la compañía. Por otro lado, como complemento a las cajas habituales, hay un área de pago rápido con un sistema que identifica las prendas y agiliza el proceso.

Inditex considera este establecimiento, de 4.500 metros cuadrados, un “hito importante” en su estrategia de integración del online y el offline. “Estamos en una posición única, ya que disfrutamos de una plataforma de ventas global que integra completamente tienda y online”, explica el presidente y consejero delegado de Inditex, Pablo Isla.
“En los últimos años, hemos invertido en la tecnología más avanzada y en la optimización de nuestras tiendas con este objetivo”, ha señalado el ejecutivo. “Nuestro modelo de negocio combina la tienda física y la digital de un modo integral, y estamos listos para las oportunidades que esto brinda a nuestros clientes actuales y potenciales”, subraya.
Las obras de ampliación y reforma de la tienda de Stratford comenzaron en enero y, desde entonces, se reemplazó de manera temporal por la primera pop up store que el grupo abrió de Zara dedicada sólo a la compra y recogida de pedidos online.
‘Flagship’ en Bilbao
Zara abrirá también este viernes su nuevo flagship store en la ciudad española de Bilbao, en el número 23 de la Gran Vía. La tienda cuenta con una superficie comercial de 5.000 metros cuadrados, distribuidos en tres plantas. La compañía ha remodelado el inmueble, con más de un siglo de trayectoria, restaurando sus elementos decorativos más singulares.
