Yoox cerrará su web en China tras la ‘joint venture’ con Alibaba
Yoox Net-a-Porter define su nueva estrategia en China. Un año después de constituir una joint venture con el gigante Alibaba, la empresa ha decidido echar el cierre a Yoox en el país, según WWD.
El objetivo es centrarse en las dos plataformas que mejor funcionan en el país, Net-a-Porter, de mujer, y Mr Porter, de hombre, ambas con oferta full price.
La otra web outlet del grupo, The Outnet, ya abandonó China en 2015. La joint venture entre Yoox Net-a-Porter y Alibaba, llamada Fengmao, se materializó el pasado septiembre de con la apertura de un flagship de Net-a-Porter en el Luxury Pavilion de Tmall, donde se concentra la oferta de lujo del grupo chino.
Yoox Net-a-Porter nació en 2015 de la fusión de ambas compañías. En 2018, Richemont excluyó la empresa de bolsa tras superar el 98% del capital.
