Shandong Ruyi reordena su accionariado. La la compañía china City Urban Construction ha desembolsado 3.500 millones de yuanes (450 millones de euros) por hacerse con un 26% de Shandong Ruyi, propietario de empresas como Smcp, Lycra o Invista.
La transacción convierte a la compañía china en el segundo mayor accionista de la empresa, detrás de su actual presidente, Yafu Qiu. “En medio de las condiciones macroeconómicas actuales, la cooperación entre las empresas estatales y las empresas privadas se está volviendo cada vez más importante para el mercado”, ha señalado el directivo.
En los últimos meses, Shandong Ruyi ha llevado a cabo una estrategia de crecimiento mediante compras. La última de ellas fue la adquisición de Bally a Jab Luxury. El año pasado, el grupo compró por 2.000 millones de dólares (1.723 millones de euros) el negocio textil de Invista, que ahora planea sacar a bolsa, y tomó el control de Trinity, propiedad de Fung Holding, con la adquisición del 51,38% de su capital.
Shandong Ruyi es también propietario de la francesa Smcp y las británicas Aquascutum y Taylor&Lodge, y en 2013 entró en el capital de Carloway Mill, uno de los pocos fabricantes de tweed Harris en Escocia.
