Se subastarán más de 300 objetos íntimos de Robin Williams
14 de septiembre 2018, 3:25 PM.- La casa Sotheby’s exhibe en Los Ángeles (California) un avance de la subasta que hará el 4 de octubre, de más de 300 objetos que pertenecieron al actor Robin Williams y su esposa, Marsha, una colección que ofrece una mirada íntima a la vida familiar del célebre artista, fallecido en el 2014.
«Lo que es excitante e interesante es que se trata de objetos que la familia escogió y junto a los que crecieron en su hogar», dijo Nina del Río, vicepresidenta de Sotheby’s, sobre esta colección titulada «Creating a Stage: The Collection of Marsha and Robin Williams».
«Esta muestra ofrece una mirada íntima a la vida familiar del artista frente a la imagen pública que creó a través de su carrera », señaló Del Río, mientras mostraba uno de los grandes atractivos de la subasta: un cuadro de Banksy titulado «Happy Choppers», realizado en 2006, que podría alcanzar un precio de 600,000 dólares. «Este cuadro aborda temas que interesaban personalmente a Williams y recuerda a su trabajo en ‘Good Morning, Vietnam’ (1987)», sostuvo Del Río en alusión a este film de Barry Levinson por el que el actor fue nominado al Óscar.
Entre los objetos a subasta hay una gran colección de recuerdos cinematográficos relacionados con la carrera de Williams, como sus Globos de Oro por «Mork y Mindy», «Good Morning, Vietnam», «El rey pescador» y «Señora Doubtfire, papá de por vida» (valorados en unos 17.200 euros cada uno).
También se podrá adquirir el puñal que empleó en «Hook (El capitá Garfio)» y un cuadro que aparecía en una de las escenas clave de «El indomable Will Hunting», pintado por el director de la película, Gus Van Sant. Varias obras de arte también saldrán a la venta, como una escultura de la artista Niki de Saint-Phalle, «Le poete et sa muse», que el intérprete conservaba en su rancho de California y que se calcula que alcanzará entre 350,000 y 400,000 dólares.
