México: Grupo Sanborns busca duplicar inversiones en 2019 con mil 800 mdp
Grupo Sanborns estima invertir alrededor de 2 mil 800 millones de pesos este año, casi el doble de lo inyectado el año pasado, que usará para abrir 20 tiendas iShop y para la remodelación y expansión de sus tiendas Sanborns, Sears y Mixup, informó Angélica Piña, encargada de la relación con inversionistas de la empresa.
“Tenemos confianza en nuestra cadena de retail, por eso estamos invirtiendo 2 mil 800 millones de pesos durante 2019, los cuales incluyen la apertura de 20 tiendas iShop, de las cuales nueve fueron abiertas en el primer trimestre de este año”, destacó.
Piña detalló que las tiendas Mixup apuestan más a los gadgets tecnológicos y a otros productos de novedad, con lo que reducen los espacios para discos, debido a los cambios tecnológicos y generacionales.
También les interesa invertir más en su formato de tiendas dedicado a los productos Apple, iShop, porque encontraron que pueden incrementar sus ingresos con la venta de estos artículos con promociones, como es el caso del iPhone.
Sobre Sears y Sanborns, dijo que se enfocarán en remodelar sus establecimientos, aunque todavía tienen pendiente combinar este negocio, es decir abrir restaurantes del tecolote dentro de las tiendas departamentales Sears.
Grupo Sanborns reportó que en el primer trimestre de 2019 un flujo operativo (EBITDA) de mil 394 millones de pesos, 5.2 por ciento inferior a lo registrado en igual periodo del año pasado, debido al aumento en los costos de operación ante un incremento en el gasto en electricidad, pero también por mayores sueldos y salarios para sus trabajadores, lo cual se combinó con menores ventas mismas tiendas (unidades con más de un año de operación) de Sears.
“A pesar de estos, creemos que en el resto del año pueden mejorar los resultados”, dijo Angélica Piña.
Los ingresos de Grupo Sanborns entre enero y marzo de este año fueron de 11 mil 478 millones de pesos, 0.8 por ciento más que lo reportado en igual periodo de 2018.
