Los centros comerciales crecen un 1,6% en afluencia y un 1% en ventas en 2019
Los centros comerciales españoles aumentan ventas y tráfico en 2019. El conjunto de los complejos comerciales en España sumó 1.998 millones de visitantes el año pasado, lo que significa un aumento del 1,6% respecto al año anterior, según ha explicado la Asociación Española de Centros y Parques Comerciales (Aecc).
Asimismo, el volumen de ventas también aumentó un 1% interanual, alcanzando 46.163 millones de euros en ventas. En este sentido, la cuota de mercado del sector respecto a su mercado de referencia ha crecido hasta el 18,1%.
La entidad prevé que entre 2020 y 2022 se inauguren 18 nuevos centros comerciales, que sumarán 699.200 metros cuadrados de superficie bruta alquilable (sba). Además, se ampliarán nueve centros y parques comerciales que añadirán 109.629 metros cuadrados de sba.
Actualmente hay 568 centros comerciales en España que cuentan con una sba de 16,4 millones de metros cuadrados. El sector aporta más de 8.400 millones de euros al Producto Interior Bruto (PIB) español y genera 730.000 empleos, de los cuales, el 46% son directos.
