En esta línea, Jake Kheel, presidente de Ecored y vicepresidente de la Fundación Grupo Puntacana, desarrollará la necesidad de “despertar” la capacidad de las empresas hacia el desarrollo de modelos más sostenibles en la batalla compartida para salvar el planeta.
Ejemplo de este compromiso es el panel de “Casos de éxito: El reto de marcar la diferencia”, protagonizado por empresas que están dejando una huella de impacto en cada uno de los sectores que lideran, representadas por Roberto Herrera, director ejecutivo de CEPM; Josefina Navarro, Vicepresidenta Sénior, Comunicación Corporativa y Responsabilidad Social en BHD León; Patricia Mejía, Gerente de Asuntos Corporativos Nestlé Caribe Latino; Amalia Vega, Directora de Comunicación Corporativa, RSC & Relaciones Institucionales CCN; y moderado por Ana Karina Cárdenas, directora regional de Pizzolante.
En este esfuerzo, las alianzas público privadas se presentan como una herramienta clave para liderar proyectos que persiguen una misión común: cambiar el mundo, y hacerlo de una forma sostenible y eficaz. Conoceremos las experiencias más inspiradoras de la mano del Gilse Echevarría Gómez, jefa de Comunicaciones de ISM; Juan Roberto Amell, director de Asuntos Públicos de Bepensa Dominicana; Jaime Ariel Pérez, director ejecutivo para la Unidad para el Fomento de la Investigación Económica y Social, en el Ministerio de Economía; y Esther Zeledon, director Office of Sustainable Enviromental and Economic Development, USAID; en un panel moderado por César Dargam, vicepresidente ejecutivo del CONEP.
Sobre el rol de la banca en la promoción de finanzas sostenibles, nos ilustrará Edward Baldera, vicepresidente del Área de Banca de Inversión, Institucional e Internacional del Banco Popular Dominicano; así como desde el punto de vista industrial, nos acompaña Johan González, director Legal y Asuntos Corporativos de CND y Ginny Heinsen, presidente de Sostenibilidad 3R’s, para exponer el modelo circular de éxito que constituye el programa Recicla 100+, el cual permitirá que para el 2025 el 100% de los productos que vende la empresa sean de envases retornables.
Como broche de oro, tenemos el privilegio de contar con un experto a nivel mundial en temas de biodiversidad y conservación de la naturaleza. Se trata del biólogo Sixto J. Incháustegui, quien en estos momentos ostenta la posición de miembro del Consejo mundial de la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza (la UICN) en representación de la región del Caribe.
