La moda, a la reconquista del bolsillo español: el gasto per cápita crecerá un 16% hasta casi 500 euros en 2023
El gasto en moda en España continuará su senda alcista, aunque moderada. El desembolso per cápita en prendas de vestir crecerá entre un 2% y un 3% anual hasta 2023, cuando rozará de nuevo los 500 euros, según datos de Euromonitor recogidos por EAE Business School.
Dentro de cinco años, cada español gastará, de media, 499 euros en ropa, setenta euros más de lo que desembolsó en 2018, lo que representa una subida del 16%. El gasto se irá acelerando progresivamente durante los próximos años, tras las moderadas subidas del 1,2%, 1,3% y 1,6% de los últimos tres años.
Las estimaciones apuntan a un crecimiento del 2,1% en 2019 y del 2,7% en 2020, para retomar alzas de más del 3% en el trienio siguiente. Como bien accesorio, la ropa fue uno de los primeros sectores que se recortaron en los presupuestos familiares, y el gasto no comenzó a remontar hasta 2014, después de haber perdido el año anterior la barrera de los 400 euros per cápita.
Una tendencia similar ha dibujado el gasto de moda y calzado en su conjunto, que se situó en 2018 en 565,7 euros por persona y que alcanzará 657,6 euros en 2023.
La recuperación del empleo, de la situación económica y de la confianza de los consumidores también motivarán un incremento en el gasto por hogar. Según los últimos datos de la Encuesta de Población Activa (EPA), el número de hogares con todos sus miembros en paro ha caído un 13% en 2018, hasta situarse en mínimos de una década, mientras los que tienen a todos sus integrantes ocupados están en máximos desde 2007.
En este contexto, los datos de Euromonitor anticipan un crecimiento del gasto en moda por hogar del 46,9% hasta 2023, cuando alcanzará 2.915 euros, frente a los 1.984 euros de 2018.
Por comunidades autónomas, Baleares liderará el crecimiento del gasto, con un 47,2% más, hasta 4.451 euros por hogar en 2023, situándose también como la región con mayor desembolso.
Le sigue Cataluña, donde el gasto en moda crecerá un 47%, aunque continuará por detrás de Murcia y Canarias con 3.183 euros por hogar. A la cola por gasto se situarán Castilla-la Mancha, Extremadura y La Rioja, con 2.300, 2.500 y 2.600 euros por hogar, respectivamente.
