Industriales RD: formación dual es una ventana de oportunidades
El presidente de la Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana (AIRD), Celso Juan Marranzini, afirmó que contrario a lo que muchos piensan el hecho de que el 27% de la población total tenga entre 25 y 29 años de edad no es una carga sobre la economía, sino una oportunidad para el país.
Según un estudio de EDUCA, Acción Empresarial por Educación, titulado “Los jóvenes dominicanos: esos desconocidos”, más de 750,000 jóvenes entre 15 y 24 años buscan empleo y no lo consiguen.
La educación que han recibido en la mayor parte de los casos no garantiza constituirse en un elemento que agregue valor ante las necesidades del mercado de trabajo y, por lo tanto, las posibilidades de los jóvenes se ven reducidas, especialmente para aquellos que provienen de hogares de menores ingresos.

En ese sentido, Marranzini afirmó que las estadísticas muestran una especie de inercia en este renglón y dijo que la AIRD considera que la formación dual de los jóvenes tanto de los ya empleados como de aquellos que podrían integrarse a un primer empleo “es una ventana de oportunidades que estamos obligados a fortalecer”.
Consideró que el Infotep es la institución que lidera este proceso y el espacio en el cual empresarios, trabajadores y el Gobierno se encontramos para aprovechar esta ventana. Destacó que las empresas se convierten en escuelas “en donde trabajadores y pasantes aprenden cada día más por medio de la práctica en situaciones o problemas reales, desde un puesto de trabajo”.
Marranzini se pronunció en ese sentido en el Desayuno Temático organizado por la AIRD que tuvo el título de: «La Formación Dual: Exitosa Estrategia Empresarial Contra el Desempleo Juvenil», siendo el orador invitado el Director General del Instituto de Formación Técnico-Profesional (INFOTEP), Rafael Ovalles.
“La formación dual será cada vez más la puerta hacia trabajos formales y de mayor valor agregado”, expresó Marranzini.
