Índice de Clima Empresarial en RD continua descenso

La Asociación de Industrias de la República Dominicana (AIRD) informó que el Índice de Clima Empresarial continuó descendiendo por segundo trimestre consecutivo al pasar de 64.5 en enero-marzo 2019 a 61.7 en abril-junio 2019 y a 57.3 en el trimestre julio-septiembre del presente año.
Este descenso se produjo a una baja en el saldo de opinión de los empresarios sobre la economía dominicana, la internacional, la rama y el clima para invertir.
Mientras que el Índice de Confianza Industrial siguió incrementándose ligeramente al pasar de 57.9 en enero-marzo 2019, a 58.1 en abril-junio, y 58.3 en el período julio-septiembre. Esto implica un incremento en la confianza para aumentar la producción industrial en un futuro cercano.
Al comparar el tercer trimestre de 2018 con el tercer trimestre 2019, la información revela que el Índice de Confianza Industrial experimentó un ascenso, mientras que el Índice de Clima Empresarial se mantiene similar.
El índice de Confianza Industrial mide las percepciones que tienen los industriales en cuanto al comportamiento de las ventas, producción e inventarios en las industrias, indicando así las probabilidades existentes de que los industriales aumenten o no su producción en el corto plazo.
Para el tercer trimestre 2019 el aumento de la producción real estuvo por debajo de las expectativas reflejadas en la encuesta correspondiente al segundo trimestre 2019. Mientras las expectativas a junio 2019 se ubicaban en 31.0, el reporte de producción real se ubicó en 16.0.
Exportaciones
El porcentaje de empresas que exportó descendió en este tercer trimestre 2019 al pasar de 79% (Abril-Junio 2019) a 76% (Julio-Septiembre 2019). Como se observa en el Gráfico No. 6, al segmentar las empresas que exportaron, se obtiene:
- Incremento en la cantidad de empresas que exportaron del 1 al 20% y del 80 al 100% de su producción.
- Descenso en la cantidad de empresas que exportaron del 20 al 40%, del 40 al 60% y del 60 al 80% de su producción.
