Falabella cambia de planes ante el coronavirus. La compañía chilena de grandes almacenes ha remodelado su estrategia ante el avance de la pandemia en su mercado local. La compañía, que tenía previsto remodelar su parque comercial durante los dos próximos años, ha decidido reenfocar su estrategia en el canal online.
El grupo ha explicado que de los 2,9 millones de dólares, de los cuales el 30% estaba reservado para la remodelación de sus establecimientos, se destinarán a continuar fortaleciendo su estrategia digital.
El grupo ha desplomado su cotización desde que la pandemia llegó a Chile. Las acciones de la empresa cayeron el 23 de marzo hasta 1.530 pesos chilenos (1,6 euros), lejos de la cotización de 6.300 pesos chilenos (6,8 euros) de la misma jornada de 2019. Desde inicios de año, la compañía ha contraído su cotización un 34,8%.
La empresa, que mantiene cerradas sus tiendas desde el pasado 18 de marzo, finalizó el último ejercicio con unas ventas de 9.237.342 millones de pesos chilenos (10.486,1 millones de euros), un 38,2% más que el año anterior. En 2019 el grupo registró un beneficio neto de 295.474 millones de pesos chilenos (335 millones de euros), un 38,2% menos.
