Esprit se alía con Deichmann para acelerar en el negocio del calzado
Alianza de titanes en Alemania. Esprit sella un acuerdo con Deichmann, el mayor grupo de calzado del mundo por cifra de negocio, para acelerar en este mercado. A través de este pacto, el grupo de distribución de moda cede al gigante del calzado el desarrollo y la producción de su línea de zapatos, además de su comercialización en sus tiendas.
El propósito de la colaboración es optimizar la relación calidad-precio, además de reaccionar con rapidez a las tendencias, según han explicado ambas empresas en un comunicado. La colección de calzado de Esprit estará disponible en los puntos de venta de la marca, así como en la red de tiendas de Deichmann.
Esprit se encuentra inmersa en un proceso de reestructuración de su negocio en todo el mundo, tras la caída continuada de sus ventas y el incremento de sus pérdidas. La compañía alemana cerró los nueve primeros meses de su ejercicio con una cifra de negocio de 9.900 millones de dólares de Hong Kong (1.130 millones de euros), un 16,1% menos que en el mismo periodo del año anterior.
Deichmann, por su parte, concluyó el último ejercicio de 2018 en plano, situando su cifra de ventas en 5.800 millones de euros. La empresa opera en 25 países de Europa y en Estados Unidos, y genera ya el 60% de su negocio fuera de Alemania. La compañía comercializó el año pasado un total de 178 millones de pares
