Algunas grandes cadenas son elegidas para probar el camión eléctrico de MAN
Después de un largo recorrido de investigaciones desde 2009 para encontrar un transporte que reduzca las emisiones, MAN presentó su prototipo de camión eléctrico en el IAA de 2018, pero es ahora cuando lo ha mandado a nuestras calles, concretamente a Madrid, donde algunas grandes cadenas como Lidl, Mercadona, Grupo Mazo, Acotral y prensa especializada, han sido los afortunados de poder probar el camión en sus rutinas diarias.
Se trata del modelo TGM 26.360 rígido de 6×2 y 26 toneladas de peso basado en el TGM para la distribución urbana. Monta un motor de 264 kW que proporciona un par motor de 3100 Nm. Cuenta con una batería ubicada en la parte baja de la cabina y lateralmente en el bastidor que ofrece una autonomía de hasta 180 kms. Dispone además de suspensión neumática integral, lo cual, garantiza una buena capacidad de adaptación a diversos tipos de carga.
Aunque es desde el pasado mes de Septiembre de 2018 cuando nueve miembros del consorcio austriaco de logística sostenible (CNL) están realizando pruebas reales, en España, se están realizando desde el pasado mes de Diciembre de 2018 y se alargarán hasta este mes de Enero de 2019 en el que nos encontramos.
Fue también en Diciembre de 2018 cuando Porsche compró uno de estos camiones eléctricos para ser utilizado para realizar la ruta de 19 kms entre Freiberg am Neckar operado por el socio logístico LGI y la planta de Porsche en Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, asegurando que el uso de este eTruck ha evitado más de 30.000 kilogramos de CO2 al año.
La compañía ha indicado que para finales de año, cada uno de sus clientes españoles implicado en el proyecto, recibirá un camión TGM eléctrico para integrarlo en su flota. Algunos de los clientes que ya han podido probarlo, opinan lo siguiente sobre el vehículo:
"Consideramos la experiencia positiva en este primer acercamiento al vehículo eléctrico. Desde el punto de vista de la seguridad, destacar que el vehículo es igual seguro que los vehículos pesados con tecnología diesel actuales, garantizando la seguridad del conductor en todo momento. En lo que a operativa se refiere consideramos que este vehículo es válido para repartos en núcleos urbanos dentro del rango de autonomía que estos vehículos ofrecen. No obstante, es imprescindible la correcta gestión de los tiempos de carga, y aprovechar al máximo los tiempos de carga y descarga de mercancía para ello." Angel Gonzalez Rubio, Director General de Acotral.

En este sentido, contar con el camión eléctrico de MAN para el suministro a nuestras tiendas supone un avance en nuestro objetivo de reducir la huella de carbono generada por nuestras operaciones." David Abeijón, Director de Logística de Lidl España.
"El haber participado en la prueba piloto del camión eléctrico de MAN ha sido muy enriquecedor para nosotros porque nos ha permitido conocer de primera mano el funcionamiento de la tecnología eléctrica en camiones de gran tonelaje. Si bien es cierto, que esta primera toma de contacto se ha desarrollado con un tipo de camión que cubre cortas distancias, eso nos permite extrapolar los resultados positivos de cara al transporte de largo recorrido que es el que habitualmente realizamos." Jose Ramón Mazo, Director General de Transportes Mazo.
Es a raíz del concepto de camión eléctrico Metropolis que MAN presentó en 2012, el cual, tenía un extensor de autonomía que permitirá obtener una autonomía de hasta 150 kms diarios, de donde se obtuvo la experiencia necesaria para poder crear la evolución de éste, que fue presentado en el IAA de 2016 con una cabeza tractora totalmente eléctrica, seguido del concepto eléctrico presentado dos años más tarde también en el IAA. Claro está, que MAN apuesta por un transporte totalmente eléctrico y no cesa en su investigación para seguir implantándola en sus camiones.
