El Gobierno compra líneas de producción de artículos esenciales contra el Covid-19

El Gobierno toma posicione en la industria para garantizar el suministro de artículos esenciales contra el coronavirus. En un mercado que el Ejecutivo central define como “muy agresivo”, debido a la competencia internacional por hacerse con este tipo de artículos, el Ministerio de Sanidad ha optado por comprar líneas de producción. “No se trata de una negociación, se trata de garantizar la adquisición de toda la producción”, ha explicado en una comparecencia este sábado Patricia Lacruz, directora general de Cartera Básica de Servicios del Sistema Nacional de Salud y Farmacia.
“El mercado global responde a una situación sin precedentes”, ha desarrollado la alto cargo de Sanidad. Ante esta situación, además de reforzar la adquisición de productos básicos, el Gobierno está “apoyando a las empresas nacionales fabricantes para incrementar su capacidad de producción”, “reorientando la actividad de sectores afines” e “incrementando las funcionalidades de los equipos que tenemos ya instalados en nuestros hospitales”, ha señalado Lacruz.
En particular, la responsable ha indicado que con el sector de la cosmética “estamos trabajando para que puedan producir de forma nacional solución hidroalcohólica”. “Se van a distribuir 500.000 mascarillas para profesionales y 800.000 mascarillas para pacientes y esto va a ser sólo una continuación de algo que esperamos que de forma muy temprana se incremente exponencialmente”, ha agregado.
En una comparecencia del comité de gestión técnica del Gobierno encargado de hacer frente a la epidemia del Covid-19, los responsables del Ejecutivo se han referido también al suministro de medicamentos, reconociendo que se temió por su garantía. “Desde el inicio de la epidemia en China estamos monitorizando y hemos pedido planes de contingencia a la industria farmacéutica”, ha explicado María Jesús Lamas, directora de la Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios (Aemps).

“Nos temíamos que en el momento de la epidemia la parada de producción de China pudiera tener impacto en el acceso a los medicamentos en España, porque buena parte de los medicamentos que estamos utilizando, en su totalidad o una gran parte, dependen de la producción en China”, ha desarrollado.
Ante esta incertidumbre por el suministro de compuestos para la fabricación de los fármacos, “la industria se ha mostrado colaboradora, sensible a la situación, y ha duplicado su capacidad de acceder a la materia prima que necesitan y hasta la fecha no hemos notado ninguna consecuencia negativa”, ha añadido.
