El diseño de Lurdes Bergada conquista el centro de Madrid y encara las diez tiendas
El diseño español crece a golpe de tiendas. La firma de moda Lurdes Bergada&Syngman Cucala prepara una nueva apertura en el corazón de Madrid, a pocos metros de la Puerta del Sol. La compañía, lanzada en 1998, opera ya con otras ocho tiendas en Barcelona, Madrid, Girona, Granollers y Palma.
La consultora inmobiliaria Catella ha asesorado a la firma en el alquiler de este nuevo local, ubicado en el número 30 de la calle Mayor de Madrid. El espacio tiene una superficie de 185 metros cuadrados divididos en 85 metros cuadrados en planta calle y otros cien metros cuadrados en sótano.
Lurdes Bergadà cuenta con casi cincuenta años de trayectoria en el negocio de la moda. Tras unos años trabajando para terceros, en 1973 la creativa puso en marcha su primera marca, Plexiglás.

Más de una década después, en 1988, la diseñadora cambió el nombre de la firma a Lurdes Bergada. En 2003, Bergadà unió fuerzas con su hijo, el diseñador Syngman Cucala, que lanzó una línea para hombre. Ambas marcas comparten tejidos, colores y visión creativa, así como el canal retail.
Actualmente, Lurdes Bergada&Syngman Cucala cuentan con tres tiendas en Barcelona, dos más en Madrid, una en Girona, otra en Granollers y otra en Palma, a las que se sumará la nueva apertura. Los planes de la empresa pasan por seguir ampliando su red comercial. La compañía está en búsqueda de un local en Barcelona. “Lo complicado es encontrar el local -apunta Lurdes Bergadà-; pero nos gustaría seguir creciendo con tiendas”.
En el canal multimarca, las firmas operan de manera independiente, con presencia en Alemania, Bélgica, Australia, Chile, Estados Unidos, Francia, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Grecia, Reino Unido o Líbano, entre otros mercados. Para la distribución internacional, la compañía presenta sus colecciones de invierno con un showroom en París y las de verano en su sede de L’Ametlla del Vallès.
La facturación de la compañía se sitúa en cuatro millones de euros. De cara al siguiente ejercicio Lurdes Bergada&Syngman prevé crecer entre un 5% y un 10%. La empresa tiene su sede en L’Ametlla del Vallès, donde acaba de construir una nave de 1.500 metros cuadrados de superficie.La compañía produce sus artículos de plana en talleres de Zaragoza y Barcelona, mientras que el punto lo fabrica en Portugal y el tricot en Igualada y Barcelona.
