Economía mexicana se contrae en segundo trimestre de 2019
El instituto de estadísticas (INEGI) informó que la economía mexicana se estancó en el segundo trimestre de este año, evitando una recesión técnica y confirmando una desaceleración de la segunda mayor economía de Latinoamérica.
Asimismo, dijo que el producto interno bruto (PIB) registró en nulo un crecimiento entre abril y junio frente a una contracción revisada del 0.3% en el trimestre previo.
En ese orden, el INEGI dijo que la economía había repuntado un 0.1% en el segundo trimestre de 2019, según los datos preliminares oficiales, aunque varios analistas adelantan sobre una leve contracción trimestral que habría confirmado una recesión técnica.

El Índice Global de la Actividad Económica (IGAE) avanzó un 0.2% en junio, tras haber tenido nulo crecimiento en mayo, pero eso no fue suficiente para lograr cifras positivas en el segundo trimestre del año.
El banco central de México recortó este mes la tasa clave de interés por primera vez en cinco años a un 8%, en una decisión dividida, citando menores presiones inflacionarias, pero advirtiendo sobre los riesgos para la economía local derivados de un entorno de marcada incertidumbre global.
