Donaciones e iniciativas de empresas privadas como opción de ayuda para paliar el COVID-19
Desde el pasado 19 de marzo, fecha en que fue declarado el estado de emergencia, el empresariado se ha sumado a la lucha en contra del Coronavirus. Desde aportes en efectivo, donaciones de pruebas para la detección de los casos hasta confección de prendas de protección que puedan ser utilizados por las autoridades sanitarias .
Las donaciones buscan ayudar a las autoridades de salud a dar una pronta respuesta a la pandemia y minimizar las necesidades de la población .
Tal es el caso de la unión empresarial “Sanar una Nación”, dirigida por los grupos Popular, Rica, Ramos y Universal junto a la organización internacional sin fines de lucro CitiHope Relief & Development y el Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (CONEP), aportaron RD$263 millones para la adquisición de 100,000 pruebas tipo “Antibody Test Kit IGM/IGG” para el SARS-Cov-2.
También han participado de estas donaciones las empresas INICIA, CCN, MARTÍ, CEPM y Humano, las cuales dispusieron la compras de 10,000 unidades de la prueba rápida PCR, cinco máquinas Real Time PCR Diagnostic, 10,000 mascarillas N-95; 100 máscaras de rostro Hazmat Rated y 10,000 kits de ropa de protección desechable para profesionales hospitalarios y de laboratorio, así como 10 ventiladores AEONMED VG70, medicamentos y alimento fortificado por un valor conjunto de RD$175 millones.
Del monto donado se dispondrán 1.4 millones de porciones de alimento fortificado, y RD$159 millones destinados a medicamentos para tratar enfermedades crónicas, cardiológicas e infecciones.
Aporte idéntico de RD$50 millones prometió el Grupo Rizek, junto a las empresas afiliadas Rizek Cacao, Alpha Inversiones, Parval Puesto de Bolsa, United Capital Puesto de Bolsa y Gam Capital Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Inversiones. Los aportes serán distribuidos un 50% para enfrentar el COVID-19 en la provincia Duarte y el otro restante para que instituciones puedan adquirir materiales médicos, medicamentos, equipos, entre otros insumos necesarios.
En esta lista solidaria figura igualmente la familia Corripio, quienes, a través de la Fundación Corripio, han dispuesto la donación de RD$50 millones como primer aporte, para que sean distribuidos en alimentos por medio de la Pastoral Social del Arzobispado de Santo Domingo y su órgano Banco de Alimentos, e igualmente al Centro de Diagnóstico de Medicina Especializada y Telemedicina (CEDIMAT) para la adquisición de insumos médicos y equipos para enfrentar la crisis actual del COVID-19.
La familia Rainieri y el Grupo Puntacana anunciaron la donación de RD$100 millones, equivalentes a US$2 millones, para apoyar acciones destinadas a contener la propagación del virus COVID-19. Parte de este fondo se utilizará para apoyar acciones en la provincia La Altagracia.
Industrias San Miguel –ISM- en colaboración con Open Air RD, ha dispuesto la creación de materiales a través de las impresoras 3D. Viseras protectoras, válvulas y dispositivos para ventiladores serán donados en los hospitales que reciban a los afectados por el virus.
El Centro Financiero BHD León y la Fundación MAPFRE anunciaron a través de un comunicado publicado en sus redes sociales, la donación al Ministerio de Salud Pública de 28 mil pruebas de confirmación diagnóstica PCR para la detección del COVID-19.
El Banco Central de la República Dominicana (BCRD), realizó donaciones al Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE), y al Hospital General Plaza de la Salud (HGPS), para contribuir con la compra de equipos y materiales con el objetivo de apalear los daños producidos por el COVID-19 en territorio nacional.
El CONEP hizo un llamado a todos los sectores de la sociedad a unir esfuerzos para enfrentar el COVID-19 y mitigar sus efectos en el país. Destacó que para enfrentar la crisis, a través de la iniciativa privada seguirá contribuyendo a la disminución del riesgo de contagio de los dominicanos, preservar el empleo, y garantizar la cadena de suministro de bienes y servicios.
Mientras el presidente de la AIRD, Celso Juan Marranzini consideró imprescindible profundizar las medidas de aislamiento que actualmente vive la población y expresó que se trata de responsabilidad para con la propia familia y para con el país.
