Koba – Tiendas D1 anunció a través de un comunicado que de ahora en adelante será presidida por Fernando González Somoza.
González es administrador de empresas y economista de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Ha trabajado por más de veinte años en empresas minoristas de alimentos, de hecho, estuvo vinculado con DIA desde 1992 hasta 2018.
“En la compañía, ocupó varios cargos directivos en España, Turquía y China, hasta llegar a la Dirección General de estos dos últimos países. Posteriormente, asumió como director general de Bienes Raíces y Desarrollo en la Organización Soriana en México”, informó la empresa.
González llega para reemplazar a Ximena Malagón, quien se retira para dedicarse a nuevos proyectos personales y profesionales, según indicó la compañía. Malagón continuará como asesora de la junta directiva y permanecerá en el cargo hasta el 30 de abril.
Koba – Tiendas D1 cuenta con cerca de 1.000 tiendas en toda Colombia, emplea a más de 8.000 personas y reporta ventas por cerca de $4 billones al año. Actualmente pertenece al grupo Valorem, al que también pertenece este diario.
